Accelerate the maturation of photonic crystal technology and its penetration into the industrial sector:

• Research of  critical parameters that influence photonic crystal fabrication
• Research in the manufacturing process of microstructured fibers
• Research in the hidden functionalities of PBG materials and alternative methods of manufacturing these materials such as femtosecond laser ablation and self-assembly
