Coractive is a Quebec-based company founded in 1998, specializing in the design and manufacture of fiber optics, in addition to offering a range of fiber lasers to customers in the industrial, telecommunications, detection (LiDAR), medical and scientific markets.

Academic background

• Master’s degree and doctorate from Université Laval and ENSSAT (Université de Rennes 1, France).
  • His thesis focused on the physics and dynamics of fiber lasers perturbed by the introduction of a frequency shift in the cavity to induce multi-frequency emission.
• Postdoctoral position at the Laser Research Institute in South Africa.
