The 1st Scientific Symposium of the Institut national de recherche scientifique – Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications (INRS – EMT) was held on February 15 and 16.
This first experience was as enriching for the speakers as it was for the audience, who gained a better insight into the breadth of research themes driving the INRS community.
Six sessions, divided by research axis, provided the framework for the event: Sustainable Energy, Digital Modeling, Nanomaterials and Advanced Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Connected Infrastructures, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, and Photonics and Ultrafast Science.
COPL enthusiastically supported this initiative, and committed to awarding the student prize for the best scientific poster in the “Photonics and Ultrafast Science” category.

Congratulations to Geunweon Lim under the supervision of José Azaña, who won 1st place and a cheque for $200 for his poster entitled “Simple Linear-optics Scheme for Broadband Spectrogram Analysis”!
