The COPL team is very proud of the achievements that marked this festive period for the Quebec and Canadian photonics communities, which gathered in Quebec City for the COPL Annual Conference (June 1) and Photonics North (June 2\u20135).<\/p>\n

This event was particularly enriched by the presence of experts\u2014international stars in the field of photonics\u2014who delivered captivating presentations on scientific advances and their impact, illustrating how these innovations are shaping trends and practices within end-user communities.<\/p>\n

A well-deserved tribute to our renowned speakers for their remarkable contributions.<\/p>\n

Michal Lipson<\/strong>, who generously shared her knowledge during her presentation titled \u201cThe Revolution of Silicon Photonics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keiichi Nakagawa<\/strong>, who remained completely focused despite the fire alarm that went off in the pavilion and delivered an excellent presentation on \u201cUltrafast single-shot imaging of light-matter interactions and its applications for medical ultrasounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel Luque Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, who captivated the audience with his presentation titled \u201cHarnessing light propagation in silicon photonics chips with periodic structures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not to mention the distinguished S. J. Ben Yoo<\/strong>, who agreed to present his work on \u201c3D Silicon Photonic-Electronic Integrated Circuits toward future AI and high-performance computing systems.\u201d<\/p>\n
