The 1st Scientific Symposium of the Institut national de recherche scientifique – Centre \u00c9nergie Mat\u00e9riaux T\u00e9l\u00e9communications (INRS – EMT) was held on February 15 and 16.<\/p>\n

This first experience was as enriching for the speakers as it was for the audience, who gained a better insight into the breadth of research themes driving the INRS community.<\/p>\n

Six sessions, divided by research axis, provided the framework for the event: Sustainable Energy, Digital Modeling, Nanomaterials and Advanced Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Connected Infrastructures, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, and Photonics and Ultrafast Science.<\/p>\n

COPL enthusiastically supported this initiative, and committed to awarding the student prize for the best scientific poster in the “Photonics and Ultrafast Science” category.<\/p>\n

Well done to the organizers!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Geunweon Lim under the supervision of Jos\u00e9 Aza\u00f1a, who won 1st place and a cheque for $200 for his poster entitled “Simple Linear-optics Scheme for Broadband Spectrogram Analysis”!<\/p>\n
